Privacy Policy for JR_MRDrawingBoard

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to JR_MRDrawingBoard, whose Chinese localized name is 金冉画板, distributed for Meta Quest / Meta Horizon OS. JR_MRDrawingBoard is a mixed-reality drawing assistance application that allows users to display a user-selected reference image on a virtual drawing board and adjust its position, rotation, scale, transparency, line-art presentation and related drawing-assistance settings.

2. Data We Process

Headset pose and spatial tracking data

To place and maintain the virtual drawing board in mixed reality, the app processes headset position, orientation, and spatial tracking information made available by the Meta Quest platform. This processing is used for real-time alignment and rendering. JR_MRDrawingBoard does not upload headset pose, spatial tracking, or room-space data to servers controlled by the developer and does not use this data to identify users.

Hand-tracking and controller input

When hand tracking or Meta Quest controllers are used, the app processes the pose and input events needed for interaction, such as pointing, clicking, gestures, button input, or controller movement. This data is used locally to operate the interface and manipulate the virtual drawing board. It is not uploaded to the developer's servers or used for advertising or profiling.

Mixed-reality passthrough and environment information

JR_MRDrawingBoard uses Meta Quest mixed-reality capabilities so virtual content can be viewed in the user's physical environment. Data associated with passthrough, environment understanding, and spatial positioning is processed by the device and Meta Horizon OS as required by the platform. The app uses only the results required for mixed-reality rendering and alignment and does not intentionally record, store, or upload video of the user's physical environment to developer-controlled servers.

User-selected local images

When a user chooses a local image as a drawing reference, the app reads that user-selected image to display it on the virtual board and to perform features such as scaling, rotation, transparency adjustment, line-art optimization, restoring the original image, or color adjustment. These operations are performed locally by default, and the selected image is not uploaded to servers controlled by the developer as part of these functions.

Local app settings and state

The app may store necessary settings or state locally on the device, such as virtual-board position, rotation, scale, transparency, color settings, or interface preferences. This information is used to restore app state and is not used to build a cross-app profile.

Device and runtime information

The app may read limited device or runtime information required for compatibility, connection-state checks, operation, or troubleshooting, such as device type, operating-system or app version, network availability, and error state. Unless the user voluntarily provides such information during a support request, it is not used by the developer to identify the user.

3. Data We Do Not Require

The current version of JR_MRDrawingBoard does not require users to create a developer account and does not require users to provide:

• name, government identification number, phone number, or home address;
• payment-card or bank-account information;
• precise geographic location;
• contact-list information; or
• face, eye, voice, or other biometric templates for developer identification purposes.

Meta Quest devices, Meta Horizon OS, or Meta services may independently process system-level data under Meta's own terms and privacy policies. Such Meta-controlled processing is separate from processing directly controlled by Shenyang Jinshen Technology.

4. Purposes of Processing

The data described above is processed only as needed to:

• provide the mixed-reality drawing assistance features of JR_MRDrawingBoard;
• position and render the virtual drawing board;
• respond to hand-tracking or controller input;
• display and process a reference image explicitly selected by the user;
• store necessary local preferences and app state; and
• support compatibility, stability, security, and troubleshooting.

5. Data Transfer, Sharing, and Sale

For MR positioning, hand/controller interaction, local-image processing, and local settings described above, the current version of JR_MRDrawingBoard primarily performs processing on the device. We do not sell users' personal data, and we do not share the data described above for third-party advertising purposes.

If a future version adds server-side processing, user accounts, online synchronization, cloud storage, analytics, or another feature that materially changes data practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when such processing is introduced, as required.

6. Data Retention

Settings or state stored locally by JR_MRDrawingBoard generally remain on the device until the user deletes the relevant data, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app.

The current version does not maintain a developer-hosted user account profile and does not retain headset pose, hand tracking, controller pose, video of the physical environment, or user-selected local reference images for the purpose of creating a user profile.

7. How to Delete Data

Users can delete locally stored JR_MRDrawingBoard data by:

• clearing JR_MRDrawingBoard app data in Meta Quest system settings; or
• uninstalling JR_MRDrawingBoard from the device.

The current version does not require a developer account and does not create a personal user-account profile on servers controlled by Shenyang Jinshen Technology. Local-only data can therefore be removed directly using the methods above.

If a user has voluntarily provided information to the developer through a support request, bug report, or other direct communication, the user may request deletion of that information by emailing lijun@jr-vr.com. No fee is charged for a deletion request. We will process valid requests subject to applicable law and reasonable verification. If specific records must be retained for legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, or another lawful reason, we will explain the basis where applicable.

8. Age Group

JR_MRDrawingBoard is listed on the Meta Horizon Store for teens and adults (age 13 or the applicable minimum age in the user's region and above). The app is not designed for the purpose of intentionally collecting children's personal data.

9. Security

We follow a data-minimization approach and prefer on-device processing where practical. For information that a user voluntarily sends to the developer, we use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect it from unauthorized access, use, modification, or disclosure.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if JR_MRDrawingBoard features, data practices, or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will remain publicly available on this page and will show a revised effective date.
